My Family

I was born and raised in Johns Creek, GA.  I have a younger sister and two rescued pets; a Black Lab named Reese, and a Blue Russian cat named Siyna. We are a very close family that loves to kayak, play lacrosse, travel and just hang out together.

 

My Sister, Lauren

My little sister Lauren is in 4th grade. She also plays lacrosse for a U11 Rec division. For the last three years I have helped coach her Rec team along with my dad.  I love being a positive role model for her. This is my 8th year of playing Lacrosse.

 

My mom, Christine Cavanaugh, is a Geriatric Care manager and works for Atria Senior Living. She is one of twenty-six CMC’s (Care Manager Certified) in Georgia. My mom is dedicated to serving the elderly and their families, in the Atlanta area. She is always encouraging me to do my best in anything and everything that I do. She supports my goals and along with the rest of my family helps me stay focused.

 

My dad, Shawn Cavanaugh, is a Physical Education teacher at Chattahoochee HS in Johns Creek, Georgia. He is also Head Wrestling Coach. He has his Masters in Educational Leadership and an Educational Specialist Degree in Curriculum and Design. He was a two-time NCAA All-American in wrestling 1990-1992. My dad is the person who introduced me to lacrosse, and who has helped me through the years. He has been my coach, is my mentor, and biggest supporter.
